Diva Belts

How to describe a belt, that doesn’t hold up anything… These are more like, “Jewelry For Clothes”! They EMBELLISH your outfit. They are sometimes wild, other times tame, but always unusual! You will never know what to expect, so don’t have expectations.

Keep in mind that they are HAND MADE, and ONE OF A KIND. I do not use any machinery to make them. Each belt is lovingly designed and made by me alone, and the small imperfections become part of it’s unique design. BB1010794 - This blue tooled leather belt, number 102, has 4 rows of freshwater cultured pearls in a graceful wave across the front in white and peacock. A half curve of tan mother of pearl spikes, and a 14mm South Seas Shell pearl and bead cap accent, completes this belt. Front area is approximately 13" across, by 5 1/2" at it's longest point. The ties are soft grey leather. Overall length is 60", which easily accomodates our BBWs (Big, Beautiful, Women) or most hips. They can also be made smaller, by cutting to size. USD $275.00	BB1010830 - This belt, is a combination of neutrals. Made of chocolate suede, burnished gold leather and black leather ties. The frontage is 11" long, and 4" top to bottom. The fringe adds 3". End to end, this belt is a very generous 57" long. USD $195.00



BB1031012 - "CITY SLICKER" is lightly tooled brown leather on a 12"front, with 6" from top to bottom of feather and bead hangs, Mother of Pearl blister pearls, peacock coloured and white freshwater cultured pearls, and as centerpiece a round copper medallion. It measures about 55 inchesfrom end to end. USD $235.00	BB1041022 - "Warrior" is brown with black tooled leather. The frontage is just under 10" wide, and 8" from top to bottom of leather fringe, and black freshwater pearls, with a leather ruffle. The ties are chettah printed suede. From end to end this belt is 50" long. USD $245.00

Materials

I use genuine leather, suede, snake skins, lizard skins. They may contain freshwater pearls, mother of pearl, genuine crystal, or minerals. I also add feathers, fur, gemstones, handmade beads, lamp beads, and even objects like old jewelry parts. Stones used on the belts are some of the same stones found in my jewelry.

Care requires just a bit of common sense care. Firstly, do not throw the belt in a drawer. Fold entire belt softly, with the frontage part never folded. The belting portion may be folded once or twice behind or over front.

DO NOT place anything heavy on top of belt, and do not place in plastic. Leather/suede needs to breathe. If you wish to keep it free of dust, just keep in a cotton pillowcase, flat, not sideways. DO NOT DRY CLEAN. DO NOT WASH. Spot clean if necessary, according to directions for any leather/suede cleaner.
